The “Aldi Red Bag Chicken” Facebook Group has taken the internet by storm, but what are they and why are they important?
Aldi Red Bag Chicken group has 21.5k members and everyone has one thing in common, they like Aldi Red Bag Chicken.
So what exactly is it?
Aldi Food Markets carries an array of frozen chickens that people are crazy about, but Kirkwood Breaded Chicken Breast’s red bag chicken seems to be a favorite. Also Kirkwood Chicken Breast (unbreaded), Chicken Breast Nuggets, Boneless Skinless Chicken Legs, Breaded Chicken Breast Patties, Breaded Chicken Fillet, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Buffalo Crispy Chicken Strips, Chicken Fries, Dino Nuggets, Honey Battered Breast Tenders, Parmesan Chicken Tenders and Honey BBQ Wings.
Christine Diane, Manager of the Facebook group, wrote in October 2020: “This group was created so that people can share photos of their creations with the coveted Red Bag Chicken, where they found it and, of course, where they are. undying love for it! ”
The admin also posted a quick reference for members to look and know how to cook their chicken with specific methods.
Chicken can be cooked in the fryer for ten minutes on each side at 400 degrees, 25 minutes at 425 degrees, or fried in oil.
But what people love most about the group is sharing their recipes and using others.
User Doris Holley shared her recipe with a photo:
“Winner winner chicken dinner! I’m always looking for how to renovate and upgrade Red Bag Chicken. Here is my latest foray into RBC chicken recipes.
Creamy Garlic Cheese Chicken:
Cook RBC in Air Fryer at 375 degrees or until edges are crispy, 12 minutes.
Mix 3/4 cup Burman mayonnaise, 1 tsp. Stone mill garlic powder, 1 tsp. Stone mill original spice (without salt), 1 tsp. Stone mill parsley flakes, 1 tsp. Tuscan Garden light Italian sauce, 1/2 cup Happy Farms Triple Cheddar.
Mix well, then place ladles on top of RBC and place under broiler until lightly browned and bubbly. Serve with baked potatoes and mixed vegetables.”
Another user, Sarah Magoc, shared her creation using the infamous chicken:
“Barbecue chicken farm pizza using RBC!
Contents:
naan bread
Spread the barbecue and barn on the crust
Sprinkle with grated cheddar and mozzarella, optionally with blue cheese crumbs
Cook RBC as directed, then chop and spread on top
Sprinkle with parsley and thyme
Top it off with some more cheese and drizzle with more barbecue and barn
Boil for a few minutes and enjoy! Or cook longer if you prefer.”
One user, Le Anne Dillon, created a salad using chicken:
“I made Cobb Salad for dinner. This is one of my favorite items to order at a restaurant.
